These beautiful cups are handmade for us in a limited edition by Carien Kuypers van Dongen. In the serene landscape along the IJssel, Carien creates ceramics using pigments she collects near her studio. The result is remarkable and unique, with textures and colours shaped by the river and the surrounding landscape.
The cup is made from stoneware and has a matte white glaze on the inside. It's practical, versatile, and easy to use. Each cup is handcrafted: from preparing the clay, throwing it on the wheel, drying, firing, glazing, and finally the fine finishing touches. Due to the handmade nature of this item, each cup will vary slightly in size and color, making every piece truly unique. material: stoneware with a matt glaze made from pigments from burned local driftwood - please note that due to the natural glaze craquelé can occur
