The design for “STRAW“ emerged from a fascination with transforming everyday objects into abstract forms. By stripping shapes to their essence and using minimal colors and forms, the series captures familiar objects in a new light. Numerous sketches evolved into fine art prints, reflecting this exploration. The ZigZagZurich cotton artist blankets and throws collection was inspired by our love of cotton weaving transforming original art that supports the artists directly with every product sold. Using jacquard looms with super fine cotton, we weave these in small quantities.
